Sky Business, BSkyB's television service for pubs and clubs, has been dropped by a 500-strong chain of pubs.
Bass Leisure Retail dropped the service after a 38% increase in price since September. It is now said to be considering ONdigital's rival service ONleisure.
Bob Cartwright, Communications Director of BLR, said: "There is strong feeling about this across the industry. The latest increase was one of a series which we felt we could not justify."
Meanwhile, a Sky spokesman replied: "Sky Sports is extremely good value and represents excellent value for money. Thousands of pubs and clubs remain very happy with our service. We will continue to grow and expand. Subscriptions in pubs and clubs continue to rise."
