Game Network confirms position
Published Monday, Jan 12 2004, 21:25 GMT | By Iain Chapman

In our article yesterday we reported on unconfirmed reports that the UK broadcasts of Game Network were set to shutdown on Sky Digital. This information was based on an email carried on the Alpha Gaming forums, and our own Digital Spy forums, which is said to have come from staff in the Italian office of Game Network.
Today we have received an email from Game Network's PR company in which we are told there is no truth that Game Network is set to shutdown its Astra 2 feeds.
Alessandro Gelmi of public relations company, Digital Bros, and owners of Game Network said:
"Game Network confirms that the rumours regarding the imminent shutdown of the Astra 2 feed are entirely without foundation. Any declaration on this topic is unofficial and has not been made by Game Network's management."
