A "broad selection" of current and library series will be made available on TVBox, a subscription video on demand extension of the existing PictureBox movies on demand service that Top Up carries from Universal Pictures.
"We’re delighted to add TVBox to the Top Up TV Anytime line-up and know our viewers will enjoy recent hits such as Friday Night Lights as well as the highly successful Law and Order brand," said Top Up TV commercial director Jim Hytner. "Recent research has illustrated that drama, especially crime drama, is very popular with our audience and we’re pleased to be able to offer our viewers a huge amount of high quality, contemporary and classic drama week in, week out."
TVBox is being rolled out in numerous territories as part of a global on demand push by NBC.
"We’re very excited to be launching TVBox on Top Up TV, which is the next step in the evolution of our branded on-demand product offering," said Belinda Menendez, president of NBC Universal International Television Distribution. "We look forward to expanding the brand on a global basis."
