ntl to upgrade email servers

ntl has announced that it will be performing maintenance on its email service overnight tonight (Monday February 9).
POP, IMAP and webmail access to the ntlworld email system will be unavailable from 11pm Monday night through 7am on Tuesday morning. The ISP says that the maintenance is necessary to "upgrade the email servers to improve the performance of the email service."
The news comes around a month after ntl announced that it had extended its contract with communications services provider Openwave, with the company's new Mx 6 email platform being deployed on the ntl network.
