Fox plans UK launch for Fuel

Following the UK launch of FX in January, Fox International is now planning to roll-out its youth lifestyle channel Fuel across Europe later this year.
The channel features extreme sports and music programming targeted at 13-24 year olds.
Discussions with platforms in the UK, Germany, Central Europe, Switzerland, France and Scandinavia are underway and roll-out into Italy for the last quarter of 2004 has been agreed so far.
Fuel was first launched in the US in July 2003 and in Australia in March 2004.
Marina Williams, vice president Fox International Channels Europe, said: “Fuel has been well received in the US and is rapidly expanding its distribution domestically.
“The first international launch has been in Australia where the channel is also proving to be hugely popular.???
