Tveter brings experience from positions at US cable operators Comcast and Time Warner Cable to his new appointment, where his responsibilities will include overseeing Telewest's cable system infrastructure and day-to-day operations.
Britain's second largest cable operator is set to emerge from a financial restructuring process, encompassing a debt-for-equity swap valued at nearly £4bn, in the next few weeks.
