Telewest reacts to Teletext closure
Telewest Broadband reacted strongly today to the news that Teletext is axing its interactive service on digital cable.
A spokesperson for the company told Digital Spy: "Telewest Broadband has consistently enhanced its interactive offering with a range of new services including red button functionality for Euro 2004, Big Brother, Fox Kids and QVC. We also offer TV email, digital TV shopping, news and information services, chat and games. Interactivity remains a core part of our digital TV offering and we will continue to develop services over the summer including the launch of interactivity for Wimbledon."
Telewest also said that half of its digital cable subscribers use interactive services at least six times per month.
