Analogue cable axed in parts of Swindon

Reports on the Digital Spy forums indicate that ntl has switched off its analogue cable service in parts of Swindon.
An ex-ntl customer posted on our forums:
"I used to have analogue cable from NTL for the last 7 years, but they just pulled the plug without telling anyone in Swindon.
"I called it in as a fault and was told that the analogue service is no longer available. The problem is some of us in Swindon cannot get the digital TV service."
A follow-up post from another member explained that this customer may have been located in "the "old build" in Swindon which has recently been turned off. As far as I knew you could upgrade to digital (work was carried out so you could get digital) and broadband but ATV [analogue TV] was no longer continuing in the area due to old cables."
