Virgin Media "working on HD"

In response to a series of customer tweets on the subject, a Virgin representative said: "We are working on HD including VOD and channels. Until the deals are done we can't announce, but hope to soon."
Chief executive Neil Berkett told journalists in December that multiple linear high definition services would launch on digital cable "over the next three months", but added that "getting access to HD was problematic" because a competitor - alluding to Sky - had "locked HD away for a period of time".
Virgin Media currently offers one linear HD service, BBC HD, and video on demand content in HD from multiple providers.
