Published Wednesday, Aug 18 2004, 21:43 BST | By Iain Chapman
The Move Channel, the UK's first channel devoted to all aspects of property will launch on September 13th.
The channel will be aimed at estate agents, developers and advertisers whom will now be able to use the channel to promote their services. The channel will feature a 24/7 rolling property information service which will be supported via the internet to offer an integrated service to viewers seeking information.
Programming will be made up by 12 hour segments which will focus on London & the Home Counties divided into 3 main regions, West & South West, North & North West, and East, Docklands & South East. The region areas will be split into 3 hour programming blocks, which will be shown twice a day.
Commercial Director, Kevin Cochrane said: "Property as a programming genre is well catered for on terrestrial TV but digital viewers seeking information have to access a limited and disparate number of sources. The Move Channel is a one stop solution that not only increases choice for viewers; but is also providing a key marketing option for anyone seeking to promote property related services. Digital TV needs to extend viewing choice beyond movies and sports to attract new subscribers and such a popular and under served genre such as property needs a channel such as ours."
