Playjam will manage a new ITVi interactive games service on digital satellite called GTV.

All games on the service will be pay-per-play, with some being tied into ITV programme brands.

"Games continue to provide a compelling platform for interactive content," said Jim Chiddix, chairman and CEO of Playjam's parent company, OpenTV. "We are pleased that PlayJam remains a leader in this field, as evidenced by this deal with ITV."

No launch date was given today, although the launch is expected "soon."

PlayJam's managing director, Mickey Kalifa, said: "Over the last two to three years, interactive TV games have proven to be an especially successful form of content for interactive TV in the UK. Given ITV's sizeable audience share, we are confident that GTV will become one of the UK's most popular interactive TV destinations."
