Humax said today that the August 27-30 over-the-air update to its PVR-8000T box, enabling the device to support the new 8-day EPG on digital terrestrial TV, demonstrated "market leadership."
"We have invested in the software upgrade to ensure that Humax customers are amongst the first to enjoy the full benefits of the extended EPG schedule information," said Dale Heathcote, UK Commercial Director at Humax. "Customers can now realise the full benefit of our PVR-8000T product, moving one step closer to the ‘TV Anytime’ concept. We have also listened to our customers and taken the opportunity to introduce some new features to improve the user experience. We believe the software upgrade once again demonstrates our market leadership and provides Humax customers with the most intuitive and reliable user interface currently available."

Humax also announced today that more updates are scheduled for September and October. One of the upgrades will be to the firmware of its F2-FoxT model.
