FX289 to undergo design revamp
Published Tuesday, Sep 7 2004, 22:15 BST | By Iain Chapman
FX289, the channel launched by Fox in January 2004 has unveiled a new identity.
The channel launched using the onscreen identity of its US sister channel FX. It has now had its own onscreen look designed for it. This new look is based on 'male' colours consisting of Red, White, Black and Grey. FX289's marketing team hope that this colour scheme will make the channel stand out on the crowded Sky satellite platform.
Vice President of Broadcasting and Marketing for FX UK, Jason Thorp said: "For the purposes of our launch, our look was basically lifted from FX in the States. We have now moved to the next stage, developing a bespoke graphics package that more accurately reflects our distinct offering and lends itself to the UK market. It is a bold look that sits comfortably with the tastes of our predominantly male target audience."
The new look has been designed by Argentine design agency Steinbranding.
