Sky starter packs available from retailers

Sky's new starter pack is now on sale through Argos and Woolworths stores.
The pack, priced at £39.99, includes a one month subscription to the full Sky World package (Movies and Sport) or two months of the Sky Family Pack along with a free standard installation.
To activate the subscription, customers should phone Sky and quote the unique code on the starter pack, then arrange installation and provide details of the 12 month minimum subscription (a requirement of the pack, in addition to a fixed phone line). New viewers can take either package initially and change at the end of their first month.
This is the first time Sky has looked at selling its product in this way and when the offering becomes available in Tesco's stores later this year, it will be the first time Sky has been available in a supermarket.
Jon Florsheim, BSkyB's Managing Director, Sales, Marketing and Interactive, said: "The Sky Starter Pack makes our product available in a convenient form through mass-merchandise retailers for the first time. This initiative is another part of our commitment to remove barriers to purchase and deliver great entertainment to consumers in a way that fits their own preferences."
