Darren Gray quits Aussie Gold

Gray told Digital Spy today: "I was originally brought onto this venture by the consortium backing Aussie Gold to consult on programming content for a three month period. My contract has been renewed a further three times since then and I've thoroughly enjoyed the experience, however I've got so much to do with running my theatrical agency and management company that it is no longer feasible to continue with the Aussie Gold work as well."
The channel plans to launch on free-to-air digital satellite, showing a wide variety of Australian TV programmes. Aussie Gold's CEO Alan Huggett will fill Gray's post until a permanent replacement is appointed.
