'No plans' for FTV HD UK launch

The news follows a discussion on Digital Spy's Sky Channels forum about Sky's plans to introduce up to 50 HD channels on its UK EPG.
Forum member Analoguesat suggested that FTV HD could join Sky's HD roster as the channel is already available in Australia, Asia, Africa, the Middle East and parts of Europe.
However, a spokeswoman for Fashion TV told DS that FTV will remain solely as a standard definition offering in the UK for the time being.
"We have launched HD successfully in various parts of the world. We would be happy to run HD in the UK on Sky if we were given another EPG slot," she said.
"Until then we will keep our SD channel as we feel there are not enough viewers with an HD box and we don't wish to restrict our audiences."
