Since its launch earlier in the year, the French film channel has been located at 839 on the EPG among the foreign language channels, but the shift will significantly increase its profile among Sky subscribers.
Celebrating the move, the channel will launch a Femme Fatales series of films this autumn, featuring interviews and documentaries about famous French actresses.
Cinémoi creater Olly Bengough said: "We are thrilled with our move into the movie section. As we continue reaching out to new audiences every day, moving to channel 343 means we can share our passion for French cinema, culture and style with a larger audience.
"We look forward to giving the British viewer easier access to the best classic and contemporary films in French cinema history."
Cinémoi broadcasts 20 new films each month and 52 interviews every year with renowned figures in the field of cinema, including Sir Michael Caine, Catherine Deneuve and Steven Berkoff.
