When the science fiction comedy returned to the small screen in April after a ten-year absence, it proved a ratings success for multichannel Dave. The first episode of the three part mini-series pulled in over 2 million viewers.
From August 29 to September 4, Red Dwarf: Back to Earth Directors Cut will be made available in HD on Sky Anytime for all Sky subscribers.
Dave channel head Steve North said: "Red Dwarf: Back to Earth was Dave's first foray into scripted comedy and proved to be a phenomenal hit for us.
"I am incredibly excited that Dave is giving Sky subscribers the chance to watch the director's cut in HD."
Alongside its release on Blu-ray on August 31, the show is also up for non-terrestrial programme of the year at the Edinburgh TV Festival.
