Telewest upgrades broadband early
Published Tuesday, Dec 21 2004, 08:27 GMT | By Neil Wilkes

The plans, announced last month, see the flagship 3Mb connection increased to 4Mb, the 1.5Mb service to 2MB and the 750Kb service to 1Mb - all at no extra cost to the consumer.
Telewest began rollout of the upgrades earlier this month, anticipating completion some time in January 2005.
"We wanted to get the upgrades delivered in readiness for the holiday break and our blueyonder team has really pulled out the stops to get this present delivered ahead of time," said Telewest president Eric Tveter.
"Our broadband internet customers can now sit back and relax, safe in the knowledge that they can surf into the New Year with faster speeds at no extra cost."
