On October 26, the channel will commence on Freeview 21, Sky 358 and Virgin Media 313. It will also launch in the Republic of Ireland on UPC and Sky Ireland.
Operated by MTV Networks UK & Ireland, VIVA will offer a range of music and entertainment programming, including the fourth series of The Hills.
Music content will include new videos, official UK charts and themed programmes featuring artists such as Chipmunk, Lady GaGa, Leona Lewis, Pixie Lott and Kelly Rowland.
It will also premiere a new reality series titled Scream Queens, in which ten contestants compete to become the next "horror babe" and win a role in the upcoming Saw VI film.
Along with blockbuster movies, the channel will carry US sitcom Two And A Half Men, episodes of animated series South Park and Hulk Hogan's Celebrity Wrestling.
VIVA initially launched in Germany in 1993 as a competitive alternative to then market leader MTV. However, it was acquired by its rival in 2004.
