Vis iTV, the joint venture between Telewest and Vis Entertainment, has been acquired by an American venture capital group.
The company was to have provided an interactive virtual horseracing channel, I-Race, on digital cable. Those plans never materialised, and the company was put into administration last month.
The group's new buyers, California-based Bellwether Group, have bought the virtual horseracing software and hired five of the company's staff. It plans to market the I-Race product to foreign markets including the US.
