ITV News Channel to reappear on DTT
Published Monday, Jan 31 2005, 21:35 GMT | By James Welsh

Information posted on the Digital Spy forums indicates that a telephone helpline is now giving the following dates for the availability of the News Channel in each ITV region:
Central: Mid-March
Granada, Yorkshire, Tyne Tees: Mid-April
Meridian, Anglia, HTV West, HTV Wales: Mid-May
Scottish, Grampian: End of May
Ulster: Mid-July
Westcountry, Border: End of July
The channel was pulled from the air in all regions outside of London back in October 2004 so that ITV could launch ITV3 on the DTT platform nationwide. Engineering work was needed so that the ITV News Channel could fit on the network's DTT multiplex in addition to ITV3.
