New launch date for variety channel

BAFTA-nominated entertainer Richard Digance, radio presenter Mike Osman and comedian Jethro's variety and entertainment channel Sound TV (formerly known as Great British Television) is to launch later this month.
The station had originally hoped to launch last year on Christmas Eve but was pushed back until January 29th and then was delayed further. Sound TV now plans to make its debut on February 26th at 7pm.
Richard Digance, Managing Director of Sound TV, said: "The channel has been two years in the making but I think with the public’s tiredness of reality television, we couldn’t be hitting the screens at a better time. Myself, Mike Osman and Jethro firmly believe there is room for both the established players like ourselves and new talent that have had little or no chance to break on to British TV in the last five years."
Programme previews begin tomorrow (February 5th) on Information TV at EPG number 588 and will be viewable daily from 4pm until midnight.
