On Monday, a closed beta for the BBC's catch-up platform began on Freesat for a small group of users.
The beta will expand to all users with HD boxes manufactured by Humax before Christmas, and then rollout to all Freesat HD equipment, including IDTVs, by the end of Q1 2010.
However, there has been confusion among some Freesat consumers about what will be required to access iPlayer on the platform when it becomes available.
Freesat has therefore released an instructional video to demonstrate how to install and use the on-demand service. The video covers how to connect Freesat HD equipment to the internet and the broadband speeds required to watch on-demand programmes in high quality.
