Published Sunday, Mar 13 2005, 22:08 GMT | By James Welsh
Telewest has contracted security firm Zero-Knowledge Systems to provide a suite of security tools for Blueyonder customers.
The software, to be branded Blueyonder PCguard, will include a firewall, anti-virus software, anti-spyware software, a pop-up blocker, and a parental content control system.
"ZKS' products will provide Telewest customers with the most comprehensive online security service available from any UK ISP," said Telewest president and COO, Eric Tveter. "Secure Internet access for our customers is of vital importance to Telewest and we believe this new security offering 'will provide significant added value for our existing subscribers and a strong incentive for other broadband users to switch to blueyonder."
The software will launch later this year.
