SeaChange buys Liberate's non-US assets

The non-North American assets of Liberate Technologies, the company that provides the software that powers digital cable boxes for NTL and Telewest, have been bought by SeaChange for $25.5m.
The transaction, which BusinessWeek reports is still pending approval by Liberate shareholders, will result in customer contracts, patents and intellectual property being transferred to SeaChange.
