Canis Media buys My Phone TV from Gems TV

My Phone TV has been bought from Gems TV by the Canis Media Group.
Out of four major transactions so far this year, this is the only acquisition. Canis Media sold Majestic TV in January, and sold TV Warehouse along with TV Warehouse Select in May.
"There were rumours after we sold TV Warehouse that I might be about to retire," said Ed Hall, Canis Media Group founder and CEO. "This acquisition signals that we are still active in the UK market. Our main corporate focus for this year is European development, and we are planning launches in several overseas markets."
Gems TV said the disposal of My Phone TV fits with its plans to concentrate on its jewellery operations.
"Since we merged Gems TV with Thaigem earlier this year, the business has now successfully sold off all non jewellery divisions," explained Clive Bryant, Gems TV COO. "We are now completely immersed in our international expansion plans for Gems TV."
