Top Up TV's taster service, Xtraview, is to close down at the end of the month.
The channel, available on a £1-per-day basis, offers a sample of the Top Up package from stations including Cartoon Network, UKTV Gold and Discovery.
Confirming the August 31 shutdown, a spokeswoman told DS: "It was always the case that Xtraview was a temporary service to allow Freeview customers to sample Top Up TV. Xtraview has been extremely successful and we look forward to exciting projects ahead."
