Baby Channel heading for Sky

The Baby Channel has revealed to Digital Spy that the station will be launching on digital satellite next month.
The free-to-air offering aimed at pregnant women, expectant fathers and parents of pre-school children aged 0-4 years old will broadcast daily between 6am and 8pm from October 10th.
A range of programmes covering topics like pregnancy, child health, early learning, first aid, safety and cooking for children will feature on the channel. A ‘Baby Channel Shop’ selling baby-related merchandise through teleshopping, e-commerce and via the interactive red button will also be available.
Baby Channel founder and Chief Executive, Leon Hawthorne said: "This channel has been my baby for the past few years and I’m looking forward to giving birth to something that will touch the hearts of millions of young families at a vital time in their lives. We are working with leading medical and parenting organisations to ensure our programmes are trustworthy and reliable as well as entertaining."
