Interactive Sudoku to launch on Sky

An interactive version of number puzzle game Sudoku will launch on Sky later this week.

'Puzzler Sudoku' has been developed in conjunction with Puzzler Media, creators of the UK's best-selling Sudoku magazine.

The game, which joins Sky Gamestar on Thursday, follows the same format as the print version with several extras:

• Demo: Viewers can find out how the experts play Sudoku
• Four levels of difficulty: Choose from 'Easy', 'Mild', 'Medium' or 'Hard'
• Cheat: If players need help with a number the 'Cheat' button fills in a random square
• Pen or pencil: Toggle between pen and pencil and enter up to nine pencil numbers into a single cell, then delete each number as others are crossed-off
• Check: When finished, Puzzler Sudoku will check the answers, highlighting any mistakes, players can choose to move on or correct the errors
• Timer: This feature displays the length of time taken to complete
• HighScore: An extra game where players can submit high scores for the chance to win prizes
• Skip: Each level has 3 grids to work through, or you can simply skip between grids
• Rows & Columns: Highlighted columns and rows
• Paths: This extra feature shows matching numbers across the grid
