AOL agrees ITN video clips deal
Published Thursday, Jul 22 2010, 10:07 BST | By Andrew Laughlin

The deal will see ITN provide hundreds of video news clips to AOL every day, with the company then able to decide which ones to run on its site.
The clips, which run from 60 seconds to 6 minutes, cover UK and international news, along with money, sports, showbiz, entertainment and lifestyle.
ITN will also provide AOL UK with video content on video gaming, music, TV, movies and fashion.
Kate Burns, head of AOL Europe, said that "bolstering" the video offering on AOL UK will help to deliver audiences the "most compelling multimedia experiences across our rich, topical and trusted content".
ITN Productions managing director Mark Browning said that the video news, entertainment and lifestyle clips are a "fantastic fit" with the AOL platform.
AOL UK's video strategy is also part of its reinvention as a content-heavy portal after the main AOL group broke away from parent company Time Warner in December last year.
