Sky launches 19-channel mobile TV service

Launching tomorrow, 'Sky Mobile TV' will offer a lineup of 19 channels, including simulcasts of TV stations such as Sky News, Sky One and Living TV.
The service will be available to all Vodafone customers with a 3G handset, initially as a free-to-view until January 31. After that time, subscription will cost £5 per month per pack. The two packs are:
News, Sport and Factual
Sky News, CNN, Bloomberg, Sky Sports News, At The Races, Discovery Factual, National Geographic, History Channel
Entertainment and Music
Sky One, Sky Movies, MTV (two channels), Living TV, Discovery Lifestyle, Nickelodeon, Paramount Comedy, Cartoon Network, Bravo, Biography Channel
"Sky wants to give customers the flexibility to access our services in the way that they choose and Vodafone is an ideal partner to help make this happen," said Richard Freudenstein, COO at BSkyB.
"With Sky Mobile TV, you can now keep up with the latest news, sport and entertainment wherever you are. This is an innovative service that complements our existing pay-TV activities, extends the reach of Sky content and delivers an additional stream of revenue."
