Around half a million homes will be upgraded to the service in the coming weeks, with 200,000 gaining instant access today.
"Teleport has arrived in Scotland and it's genuinely going to change the way people watch TV," said Eric Tveter, Telewest president. "The schedule normally dictates what we watch, but ourcustomers will have the choice and convenience of a service that they can tailor - it's TV on their terms."
