Telewest debuts 'Talk Anywhere'
Published Thursday, Jan 12 2006, 14:58 GMT | By James Welsh
Telewest has launched a new set of fixed-price consumer telephony plans in the Liverpool area.
Named 'Talk Anywhere,' the service allows people to make calls to UK landlines and mobiles, as well as international calls, for one fixed price that is not affected by time or day.
Packages of 200 minutes (£18/month), 400 minutes (£24), and 800 minutes (£34) are available, with unused minutes rolling over to the following month.
A national rollout will take place later this year.
"Talk Anywhere is the first landline service to truly do away with confusing phone tariffs," said Telewest president and COO Eric Tveter. "With no difference between calling a local family member, an hour-long call to Sydney, or catching-up with a friend on their mobile, it couldn't be simpler.
"We were the first company to offer unlimited calling packages and now we're breaking the mould again. We're giving people in Liverpool complete peace of mind and the freedom to call whoever they want, whenever they want."
