Pace selected for Sky Italia's PVR

News Corp's Sky Italia has selected Pace to manufacture its new MySKY PVR boxes.
The PVR will have twin tuners and a 160GB hard drive.
"PVR is an essential part of our future strategy and will complement our core digital service," said Sky Italia COO Mark Williams. "Having worked with Pace for our initial service launch we are delighted that our customers will be using Pace technology again for PVR."
Sandy Barblett, Pace's Regional Director for EMEA, added: "We're delighted that SKY Italia has selected Pace for its MySKY launch as PVR is one of the most advanced, revenue-creating technologies available to digital TV operators today. PVR is a 'must have' technology for all payTV operators and, through our experience of PVR launches with companies such as Sky Digital in the UK, Foxtel in Australia and Premiere in Germany, we will be able to provide expert support as SKY Italia begins to transform its customers' viewing experience."
