At present viewers can only see EPG data for the channel, which is expected to run closed video tests in the coming weeks ahead of its official launch, most likely at the start of April.
The test version of the HD channel features a four-hour block of programming, including shows such as Megastructures, Air Crash Investigations and The Mafia, looped between 8am and 2am each day. It is understood that the channel will switch to a standard schedule before its official launch.
Sky Sports HD and the first HD Sky Box Office screen will also launch this week, with HD versions of Sky One, Artsworld and Discovery all following next week.
