The BBC-backed joint venture aimed at bringing video on-demand and web services to Freeview has also confirmed today that it will publish shortly its core technical specifications for launch.
YouView CEO Richard Halton said: "Our focus has always been to deliver a product to consumers that is right, but not rushed.
"Creating a truly open TV platform that will bring consumers increased choice has required significant technological innovation. Our timings for the launch reflect the scale
and complexity of this project."
The YouView platform was initially scheduled to launch in July of this year, along with a range of associated set top boxes, PVRs and integrated TVs.
