BT has announced that its upcoming TV service will be named BT Vision.
The service - essentially a broadband-powered add-on to Freeview - will launch in the Autumn with content from Endemol, BBC Worldwide and Warner Music Group.
"Our choice of the name BT Vision encapsulates the qualities needed to make this offering successful and underpins how important our next generation TV will be in the converged world," explained Dan Marks, BT's chief exec of TV Services. "BT Vision will be offered nationwide and will be not restricted to metropolitan areas and as with Freeview, there will be no mandatory subscription."
Customers can pre-register their interest in the service at the BT website.
