'Exciting' first night for Channel 6
Published Thursday, Mar 30 2006, 16:45 BST | By James Welsh

The channel is aiming for the 18-35 demographic by positioning itself as an all-entertainment station and the channel's founder is promising an "exciting" first night of viewing.
"We are urging everyone to tune in at 8pm for what promises to be a really exciting first night’s viewing on Channel 6," he told IOL.
As reported on DS, Channel 6 has signed a raft of content agreements with several major US studios in the run-up to launch. Those deals have included Fox (Prison Break, Family Guy), NBC Universal (The Office: American Workplace, House), and CBS Paramount (Numb3rs, Star Trek: The Next Generation).
Channel 6 will be available at launch on Chorus and NTL in Ireland. The channel abandoned earlier plans to launch on Sky after failing to secure a prime EPG slot.
