Polaroid, the company made famous by self-developing instant photos, has launched a new mobile printer designed by creative director Lady GaGa.

The 'Poker Face' singer was unveiled as Polaroid's chief creative officer at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in January 2010.

The partnership has resulted in various products, including the most recent Polaroid GL10 Instant Mobile Printer, designed to deliver "the next generation of instant photo printing".

The key feature of the printer is the ability to take images caught on smartphones and send them via Bluetooth to the printer. At time of launch, Polaroid said that the GL10 is compatible for use with Android and BlackBerry smartphones, while discussions with Apple for the iPhone are "ongoing".

The GL10 prints full bleed, or Polaroid Classic Border Logo format 3x4'' photos in less than one minute, powered by the ZINK Zero Ink Printing Technology. The patented Zink paper features an advanced composite material of embedded crystals that uses heat to activate and form the picture.

Owners can also download a free Polaroid mobile application for photo editing, such as adding borders and special Polaroid filters in order to enhance pictures prior to printing.

The Polaroid GL10 Instant Mobile Printer is available from Amazon.co.uk and Firebox.com for a suggested retail price of £119.99.

In January, My Name Is Earl star Jason Lee offered a $25,000 (£15,520) reward for the return of a rare photo of him and fellow actor Dennis Hopper taken on a Polaroid camera.
