The Taiwanese phone manufacturer filed the lawsuit with the US International Trade Commission (ITC) last month, claiming that the technology used by Apple devices infringes on its patents, BBC News reports.
It marked the third such complaint that HTC has filed against the iPhone firm in a long-running dispute, including actions filed at the ITC and the US District Court in Delaware in August.
Apple retaliated by accusing HTC of copying its designs. Other technology companies have been drawn into similar disagreements in what has been referred to as a 'global patent war'.
Samsung is currently locked in an ongoing legal battle with Apple in territories across the globe.
HTC is seeking to ban the import of Apple products to North America.
