Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg mourns 'mentor and friend' Steve Jobs

Mark Zuckerberg has updated his Facebook profile to mourn the passing of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs.
Jobs died on Wednesday, October 5 after losing his battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 56.


"Steve, thank you for being a mentor and a friend," Zuckerberg said. "Thanks for showing that what you build can change the world. I will miss you."

Earlier this year, Apple replaced Google as the world's most valuable brand in the BrandZ Top100 ranking. Facebook entered the list for the first time at 35.
Other technology leaders who have paid tribute to Jobs since his passing include Microsoft founder Bill Gates, Dell's Michael Dell and Google's chief executive Larry Page.
US president Barack Obama has described Jobs as a bold, brave and talented visionary who changed the world.
