Intel is to roll out a new line of slimline laptops with high specs to rival Apple's MacBook Air.
The Asus Ultrabooks, which start at £600, are expected to be revealed tomorrow, according to Gizmodo UK.
Higher performance iterations of the laptops, dubbed UX21 and UX31, will be available at around £1,000. The former's aluminium casing is thought to up the price by around £200.

Intel is expected to rebrand the line as Zenbook upon its unveiling, the report notes. The reason for the name change was not disclosed.
The affordable Asus line is being introduced as part of Intel's pledge to pressure manufacturers to charge less than $1,000 (£649) per laptop.
Hands-on reports suggest that the Ultrabooks encounter performance issues when running Google's Chrome OS.
