Bloomberg reports that the firm is working on a modified version of its Series 7 laptop optimised to take advantage of the Microsoft operating system's touch screen functionality.
Microsoft unveiled Windows 8 back in September. The company handed out copies of the OS for the Samsung Series 7 slate to thousands of developers to showcase its capabilities.
Samsung rolled out the latest model of its Series 7 laptop, Chronos, earlier this year. The higher spec model features an Intel Core i7 quad core processor and a 15.6-inch screen.
The company also launched its lightweight Series 9 laptop as a competitor to Apple's MacBook Air.
Windows 8 is yet to be given a release date.
