LG and fashion house Prada have this evening unveiled the latest smartphone in their partnership, the LG Prada 3.0.
The classic black smartphone, the third handset produced by the two companies, features a 4.3-inch NOVA High Brightness touchscreen and Prada's signature Saffiano pattern on the reverse.

Unveiled in November, the LG Prada 3.0 is 8.5mm in depth, with minimal hard keys to maintain the sleek simple finish. It features LG's signature Floating Mass Technology, which is claimed to optically enhance the thinness of the device.
The phone runs a version of Google Android's Gingerbread operation system, featuring a tailored user interface with black, grey and white menus and icons.
However, LG and Prada said that there is a "future scheduled upgrade" for the device to Ice Cream Sandwich, the latest Android 4.0 OS.
Powering the LG Prada 3.0 is a 1.0GHz Dual-Core/Dual-Channel processor, and it features dual-band WiFi for web surfing.
An eight megapixel camera is fitted to the rear and the handset comes with 8GB of user memory.
LG 3.0 key specs:
o Operating System: Android Gingerbread
o Memory: User 8GB
o Size: 4.3-inch
o Resolution: WVGA (800 x 480)
o NOVA Display: 800 nit
o Camera: 8MP
o 1.0GHz Dual-Core/ Dual Channel Processor
o Battery 1540mAh

LG and Prada released two premium 'featurephones' in 2007 and 2008, collaborating on design of the software, user interface, casing and packaging.
The first Prada-branded phone, the LG 1.0, sold over one million units and is now part of the permanent collection in New York City's Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) and the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) in Shanghai.
The 2.0 followed in 2008, introducing Link technology to enable easy access to caller ID, SMS text messages, call history and two-way alarm notification.
LG and Prada have given no indication as to the availability of the LG Prada 3.0, but it is expected to launch in early 2012. There has also been no word on pricing.
