Amazon releases new Send to Kindle documents app

The Send to Kindle software means that PC users can right click on Word documents, PDFs, text files and images, and then send them instantly to the e-reader.
It replaces the previous and rather cumbersome system of emailing documents via a Send to Kindle email address.
Multiple files can be sent using the app, and Amazon suggested that the Kindle Library can be used as an archive for documents to be re-downloaded at another time.

Any files can also be shared across other connected devices via the Cloud.
The app features options to send documents from Windows Explorer or any Windows applications by selecting print and then choosing Send to Kindle. Documents are then delivered in PDF format.

Currently, Send to Kindle is only available on Windows PCs, but Amazon said that support for Mac is "coming soon".
The only reading apps supporting the software are Kindle for iPad, iPhone and iPod, not the Android or Windows Phone services.
Send to Kindle for PC is available to download now for free from Amazon's website.
