Facebook to replace YouTube as VEVO host?

Facebook is in negotiations with music video firm VEVO to replace YouTube as its host.
Sources close to the discussions claim that they are in the preliminary stages, as a year still remains on VEVO's YouTube contract, CNET reports.

Facebook is allegedly interested in establishing a similar deal to the one YouTube has with VEVO, in which the social network would host its music videos with both firms selling advertising and sharing profits.
Mark Zuckerberg's firm bolstered its online music support in September, launching Facebook Music, a service which enables users to share their listening habits online.
Last week, Facebook introduced the 'Listen With' feature, allowing Spotify, Rdio, and MOG subscribers to listen to music with friends in real-time.
VEVO announced that it has revamped its UK iPhone app earlier today, introducing a new VEVO Match service that links stored music tracks with videos by the artist.
Facebook and VEVO are yet to officially confirm that talks between the two companies have taken place.
