The figures mark a 25% increase on the stats revealed eight months ago, Reuters reports.
YouTube's popularity surge has been attributed to Google's efforts to make the service available on new platforms, including mobile phone and television sets, as well as its move into professional-grade content.
Google claims that 60 hours' worth of footage is now uploaded onto the streaming website every hour, compared to 48 hours of footage back in May last year.
YouTube is a key part of Google's market strategy, despite many of its 4 billion daily videos being non-profit. Around 3 billion YouTube videos per week are monetised, according to the search engine giant.
YouTube is rumoured to be in talks with the major record labels with a view to renew its lucrative licensing agreement.
