Available now to download from Samsung's Smart TV App store, the app enables users to browse products offered by the retail chain, as well as access related information.
Developed in collaboration with the multichannel video agency Adjust Your Set, the Marks & Spencer app gives viewers access to "the latest in high street trends as well as tips on lifestyle, food, fashion and technology all from the comfort of their living room".
The app features a range of recipes, advice on selecting the "perfect wine" and beauty tips, all available on the TV screen.
"The development of the M&S Smart TV App highlights the popularity of Smart TV as the most immersive and interactive format for consumers," said Guy Kinnell, the marketing director for TV at Samsung UK.
"The M&S Smart TV App brings new lifestyle content from a trusted consumer brand, as well as giving people a snapshot of how consumers will be able to shop in the future."
Marks & Spencer's director for new channels Susan Aubrey-Cound added: "We're continually exploring innovative, new ways to engage and interact with our customers.
"This app enables customers to discover more about our products and innovations from the comfort of their living rooms, whilst supporting our broader marketing channels."
The Marks & Spencer app follows the recent launch of apps from Rightmove and Thomson Local on Samsung Smart TVs, offering users access to information on property and local services.
