Valentine's Day is just around the corner and so it's time to treat your loved one with something special, no doubt drenched in hearts and sentiment. Ahhh.
The world of mobile apps is rather unsurprisingly littered with services offering ways to celebrate your love, or work out if it is actually the real deal.
Here is our rundown of some of the great services available on iPhone and Android. Please do use the comments to flag up any apps that make your heart flutter.
Cards
Price: Free
Publisher: Apple
Platform: iPhone
Corporate giant Apple shows its softer side with the Cards app, which enables users to send their sweetheart a "beautifully crafted, real letterpress card" designed on the iPhone or iPod Touch. Cards features 21 customisable greetings for six occasions, including "Love", and users can add their own photo and text. Apple will then print it on premium paper and send it out in the post.
Love Survival Kit
Price: Free
Publisher: WikiHow
Platform: Android
The Love Survival Kit is described as like "carrying your best friend's romance advice in your pocket". Whether it's writing a love letter, preparing for your first kiss, or planning a break-up over instant messenger, the guide offers the essential tips to get it all right.
Tom's Love Letters
Price: Free
Publisher: Out Fit 7
Platform: iPhone
This app allows users to send off a postcard to their Valentine featuring Talking cat Tom and his feline love interest Angela. There are various different designs available, including "lots of hugs" and "flowers for you".
Interflora

Publisher: Interflora British Unit
Platform: iPhone
You can't really go wrong with flowers as a gift, just ask Elton John. Interflora's free app features a wide range of bouquets hand-crafted by expert florists presented in a carousel-based design. Users can purchase the flowers within the app, and same-day delivery is available before 3pm Monday to Saturday, which is peace of mind for the forgetful types.
Love & Romance Quotes
Price: Free
Publisher: XStudio Technologies
Platform: Android
Whether it's to sum up a perfect moment, or set the mood, this app has various quotes from famous people all around the world to "remind you of the importance of love". There are more than 500 love and romance quotes available, and users can share any favourite lines with friends or loved ones.
Perfect Man
Price: £1.49
Publisher: Perfect Man Ltd
Platform: iPhone
As recently featured in The Sunday Times, Perfect Man is a humourous entertainment app that features videos of "perfect men" saying things that "will make you laugh, feel good and maybe bring a little colour to your cheeks". Users can pick their own perfect man and get to know them better via the Meet Me and Ask Me buttons.
OpenTable
Price: Free
Publisher: Opentable, Inc
Platform: iPhone
OpenTable allows the user to make reservations at more than 11,000 OpenTable-enabled restaurants around the world, including over 700 in the UK. Users can also earn Dining Rewards Points redeemable for Dining Cheques at participating restaurants, although that is probably not a romantic thing to share with your loved one.
Flip N Drink
Price: £2.49
Publisher: Online Dynamics
Platform: iPhone
Impress your significant other with a bit of mixology on this app. Flip N Drink has various classic and new cocktail recipes from Gary Regan and Mardee Haidin Regan, authors of The Joy of Mixology and The Bartender's Best Friend. Available drinks include the Manhattan, Dry Gin Martini and Aviation, along with newer creations such as The Dreamy Dorini Smokin' Martini and The Black Feather.
The Mood Setter
Price: 69p
Publisher: Sobits
Platform: iPhone
The Mood Setter claims to be the "world's first digital aphrodisiac". The app digitises romantic aides such as candlelight or a roaring fireplace on the iPhone to build the "mood", while four original songs are available to seal the deal... so to speak.
201 Romantic Ideas
Price: Free
Publisher: FeelSocial

Anyone stuck for romantic ideas for Valentine's Day can download this app and set about 'spicing up' their relationship. It features 201 ideas for ways to better woo your loved one, ranging from romantic meals to more adventurous suggestions.
Shakespeare In Bits: Romeo & Juliet
Price: £5.49
Publisher: Mindconnex Learning
Platform: iPhone
Some say that the language of love started with William Shakespeare and, if true, Romeo & Juliet must be his most resplendent romantic work. This rather pricey app helps users profess their love with the help of the famous play, and text some "sweet little Shakespearean nothings" throughout the big day. Although, Romeo & Juliet did not exactly end well for its star-crossed lovers.
